At £2 I have absolutely no idea why I didn’t order one on the spot. For some reason I decided to have a look on HMV.com and sadly, they did have an iPhone cover with a mirrored finish. Not from any of the manufacturers I had seen on YouTube, eBay or Amazon, but I figured HMV wouldn’t carry poor stock.
I couldn’t have been more mistaken. The exspect mirrored screen protector for the iPhone 3G from HMV is absolute garbage.
Priced £4.99 in store – exactly as per HMV.com – I was initially happy with my purchase. I’d been able to pop in, grab what I needed and with less waiting (my main weakness, impatience!). I got home, cleaned the iPhone a little and went to apply the mirrored screen.
I should really upload some pictures (!) but I think it is easy enough to describe. Where as other manufacturers provide a full screen protector with cut outs for the ear/mic and home button, exspect think it is sufficient to simply make the image on the packaging have those features. The actual protector has a 5mm * 25mm rectangle exposed above the ear/mic and another 15mm * 5mm gap by the home button. Poor show 
I’ve e-mailed HMV suggesting they bin this supplier. Lets see how they respond…
