Should scream its way nicely past 8000rpm!
Price varies depending on exactly what spec and other mods are required in terms of oil coolers, lightweight flywheels, clutches, brakes etc.
Anywhere between £5000 and £6500 would be a sensible budget though.
Donor engine arrived today – hopefully will be getting all the bits together next week and can start the build the week after 🙂
Q: What do you suspect caused that sort of damage Will?
A: I suspect that at some point oil surge has occurred and that air has entered the oil pump and ended up at number 4 big end causing the bearing to make contact with the crank and spin.
I might be proved wrong when I strip the old engine, could have been a blocked oil gallery…

Most of the parts are on order now for the rebuild so hopefully they’ll arrive next week and the rebuild can happen the week after!
