Will Pedley Racing – Focus ST170 ITB conversion

Unfortunately the new ECU didn’t like sharing the crank sensor signal with the OE ECU and so wasn’t able to introduce an adequate data signal into the CAN Bus system for the tachometer to function.

So…

Clocks out:

Dismantled and tacho removed:

Careful measuring and a hole saw later…

Then the white casing underneath got the holesaw treatment:

Unfortunately my phone battery died at this point so there aren’t any more ‘in progress shots’… But after some black fablon and careful cutting, some tricky wiring and a few other odd jobs – the rev counter problem is fixed 😉

Those of you that have known me for the 5+ years i’ve been on here will surely remember that performance tuning is all i’ve ever wanted to do and now i’ve finally built the knowledge base i’m just an enthusiast trying to help other enthusiasts and put my food on the table as a result.
