In recent weeks I have started Tweeting again in an attempt to secure additional discounts for Smarter Card holders.

From a B2B perspective Twitter can be a very effective way of communicating as in many cases you can have direct access to the decision maker of any particular business. As a simple example, I recently Tweeted “@PantsPeople, would you be willing to offer a student discount to @SmarterCard holders?”

Within 24 hours I had received a reply. A quick exhange of e-mail addresses by DM (direct message) and we were able to confirm terms and conditions. I am pleased to say Pants People are offering all Smarter Card holders a 15% discount off their range of stylish mens’ underwear. Even better, this deal can be used in conjunction with all other offers on their site, with the exception of the 15% off launch offer (only available if you have received a Pants People launch promo flyer).

The team at Pants People have also been kind enough to pop up a blog post about the deal. I’m obviously going to return the favour over on Smarter Nights. Clicking the image below will take you directly to the Pants People entry, listed under national student discounts.
