My Twitter, Facebook and Google+ feeds are currently being lit up with posts regarding Nike’s release of the Back to the Future trainer and if you look into my shoe cupboard, it is fairly obvious that I have a tendency to impulse buy funky looking footwear. On that basis, I have hidden my wallet and melted my online banking card reader.

Nike have only produced 1,500 pairs of the Back to The Future trainer and these are being sold exclusively via eBay. As confirmed by this article in the LA Times, all proceeds are going to the Michael J. Fox foundation.
Sadly, the man who brought us the Nike MAG was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991. In the clip below you can see Fox, in his role as Marty McFly, trying on the Nike MAG for the first time.
