In addition to serving as a parent company to various ‘Smarter’ ventures, the Smarter Group Limited is used for small scale investment in start-up companies. Operations are far from my long term plans for the Smarter Group as a full on VC house for young entrepreneurs, which is why I don’t make a great fuss of them.
Despite this, eagle eyed start-up CEOs have found references to investment opportunities and I’m pleased to say I recieve an average of 5 business plans per month to review. Good business ideas, it seems, are very much like busses. Two have come along in quick succession which has prompted me to reconsider how soon I treat start-up finance as a main activity.
Having a general muse of Google I noted there’s a book called Smarter Ventures on the topic of raising venture capital and as I have my seo hat on this evening I’ve bunged in an Amazon link for those who were looking for the book in the first place 😉 Other than that, not much going – so I’ve snapped up smarterventures.co.uk and smarterventures.com for (potentially near) future use. As url’s I think they are a little more search friendly than SmarterGroup.biz if people are looking for new venture finance.
