#SBS replaces #TheoSBS for Small Business Sunday

In November 2010 I was lucky enough to be selected as one of six winners of a weekly Twitter competition held by Theo Paphitis. At the time, entrants had to use the hashtag #TheoSBS.

#TheoSBS shortened to #SBS

My original post, Theo Paphitis #TheoSBS – Small Business Sunday, was updated in March to account for the new hashtag. However, you can’t find it (or anything else relating to Small Business Sunday) if you Google #SBS so as an exercise in SEO, I created this entry.

#SBS rules

The competition takes place between 5 & 7.30 p.m. every Sunday. To enter, all you need to do is Tweet Theo Paphitis with your elevator pitch, along with the hastag #SBS.

Typically, Theo will choose a winner and re-tweet their entry within 24 hours. From experience, I can say this generates enough traffic to temporarily disable a website 😉

At the time of writing, Theo has in excess of 150,000 people following him and this number is likely to grow rapidly while the new series of Dragons’s Den is on BBC1. #SBS is free to enter, so what are you waiting for?

  1. A great idea for any #sbs to enter this competition! Firstly to meet new/fellow sme’s on twitter and secondly to have a chance of the PR for winning the competition every week! So do it next Sunday!
