In October last year I mentioned a course run by Paul Hegarty of Stanford University. The entire series is free on iTunes and if you have an interest in developing apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch you should check it out.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t made much (any) progress in respect of my first app. In terms of a self build, Paul Hegarty’s lectures quickly reached a level which was far too technical for me to understand so I made the decision to outsource the job. Unfortunately, progress on the Smarter Card iOS app was halted as the potential developer couldn’t integrate it with a WordPress set-up.
Almost 9 months later it looks like a self build could be on the cards again, using Buzztouch.

Buzztouch is web-based software enabling users to create iOS or Android applications online. The service is free to use for individuals as the company makes its money from providing business grade services to organisations.
