The following video is my first real attempt at a YouTube commentary, detailing my failed attempt to pick up a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 before the official release (midnight tonight).

As always, the video was spliced together with iMovie for iOS and I’m fairly pleased with the result. There is one slight issue, which you will probably notice should you decide to watch the video: there is a distinct change in volume/tone towards the end.

After the video had rendered I realised a couple of car number plates were clearly visible so, to be on the safe side, I used some alternative footage [if I had a ‘real’ editing suite I would have simply blanked them out]. It turns out that deleting a video clip in iMovie for iOS will also remove any voice-overs that occupy the same space in the timeline, so I had to re-record the ending. I did so in a different room of the house and the acoustics are notably different.

So, for your viewing pleasure, my failed attempt to pick up an early copy of MW3:

Please note: lying, deception and bribery are completely unacceptable (I’ve used artistic license to make the event sound a lot more dubious than it really was).

Update: I now have a YouTube channel dedicated to gaming. Check it out, here.
